Energy produced by the solar plant can be consumed at the meter point, and any surplus produced there can be sold to the grid. Once the necessary procedures are completed and an agreement is signed with the distribution company, the surplus energy is fed into the grid under a net-metering arrangement in exchange for payment. The distribution company purchases your electricity for 10 years. The price your regional energy distribution company pays for surplus energy produced is set by tariff.
