On-Grid System
An on-grid system is a grid-connected solar power system. In this system, the electricity produced by the solar panels is fed directly into the grid and used, eliminating the need for energy storage. When sunlight is insufficient or at night, you draw energy from the grid. There is no battery in this system, because the energy produced is transferred to the grid instantly. At the end of the month, the difference between the surplus energy you feed into the grid and the energy you consume is net-metered; you earn income from the electricity you supply by being paid for the surplus you produce. On-grid systems are suitable for energy needs of every size, from homes to large businesses, and since there is no energy storage cost, they generally offer a more economical solution.
